Cam4 Private Shows

Private Shows are a powerful way to earn more on CAM4. CAM4 now offers three types of private shows to give you and your viewers flexible options. While in a Private Show, you can enable Spy mode to allow additional viewers to watch (but not chat) for a per-minute fee. You can enable or disable Private Show functions at any time.

1. What Are the Three Types of Private Shows?

CAM4 offers three distinct private show formats:

Per Minute Private Shows

  • Viewers pay a set rate per minute
  • Show continues until viewer runs out of tokens or either party ends it
  • Pricing options: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, or 120 tokens/minute
  • Spy pricing: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, or 60 tokens/minute

Fixed Rate Private Shows

  • Sell shows in time blocks (e.g., 15 minutes for 50 tokens)
  • Viewer purchases a set duration upfront
  • System prompts when time is about to expire
  • Viewers can buy more tokens or additional time during the show
  • Spies still pay per-minute rates

Solo Private Shows

  • Allows you to stream on multiple platforms simultaneously
  • You go into “Solo Private” mode on CAM4
  • Viewers see you’re “in a private show” but can still Spy (if enabled)
  • Maintains your CAM4 room position while doing shows elsewhere

2. What is a Private Show?

Private Shows let viewers get an exclusive one-on-one experience with private chat that only you and the viewer can see. You earn tokens every second based on your chosen pricing structure.

3. What is a Spy Show?

During a Private Show, other viewers may watch as “Spies.” Spies pay per minute to watch the broadcast but cannot see or participate in the chat.

4. How Do I Enable Private Shows?

Private Show requests can be enabled and disabled from the toolbar below the broadcast window or through your Private Show settings.

5. What Happens When a Private Show Ends?

When you’re ready, end the Private Show by clicking the End Current Show button. You’ll return to your public broadcast.

6. What Happens to My Other Viewers During a Private Show?

While in a Private Show, your public viewers may remain in the room and chat. If you have Spy Shows enabled, viewers can watch the broadcast (without seeing chat) by paying the spy rate per minute.

7. Can I Disable Spies in My Private Shows?

Yes. Spy Shows can be toggled in your Private Show Settings. Note: Enabling Spy Shows is a great way to earn extra tokens and keep viewers engaged during Private Shows.

8. What Happens to My Goals During a Private Show?

The goals on your public broadcast remain active and will continue once you return after your Private Show ends.

9. Can Members Tell If I’m in a Private Show?

Yes. During Private Shows:

  • Your directory thumbnail displays a key-shaped icon
  • A notice appears on your broadcast window
  • Viewers who enter your room can wait for the show to finish or watch as spies (if enabled)

10. How Do Viewers Request a Private Show?

If you have Private Shows enabled, viewers can request a show by clicking the Request Private Show button below your broadcast feed.

11. How Do I Accept Private Show Requests?

Notifications for Private Show requests appear on the toolbar below the broadcast window. Pending requests also appear here if you’re already in a Private Show.

12. How Do I Earn Tokens from Private Shows?

Per Minute Options:

  • 6 Tokens/Minute (Spy: 3 tokens/min)
  • 12 Tokens/Minute (Spy: 6 tokens/min)
  • 18 Tokens/Minute (Spy: 6 tokens/min)
  • 24 Tokens/Minute (Spy: 6 or 12 tokens/min) [default]
  • 30 Tokens/Minute (Spy: 6 or 12 tokens/min)
  • And higher tiers up to 120 tokens/minute

Fixed Rate:

Set custom time blocks with set prices (e.g., 15 min for 50 tokens)

Solo Private:

Use your standard per-minute pricing while broadcasting elsewhere

13. How Long Are Private Shows?

  • Per Minute: Continues until the viewer runs out of tokens or either party clicks End Private Show
  • Fixed Rate: Lasts for the purchased time block, with option to extend
  • Solo Private: Duration determined by you and the external platform

14. What’s the Difference Between Private Rooms and Private Shows?

  • Private Rooms (Gold Members only): Password-protected rooms that only users with the password and 2257 approved broadcasters can enter
  • Private Shows (All Broadcasters): Pay-per-minute or fixed-rate exclusive sessions that create a separate private broadcast

Cam4 Group Shows

Group Shows let performers give a more exclusive, private experience to any viewers who buy a ticket during a regular broadcast.

Have something really kinky planned? Want to reward tipping viewers with an extra special performance? You can use your regular show as a preview and save the hottest parts for anyone who buys tickets to the Group Show.

How does a Group Show start?

During a regular show, performers can offer a Group Show by setting the ticket cost, a token goal and a time limit. If the token goal is reached within the time limit, ticket holders are taken to a private room with exclusive video, audio and chat.

Viewers who did not buy a ticket are taken to a separate chat room without audio or video – just like a regular Private Show. These viewers may join the Group Show at any time by purchasing a ticket.

How much do Group Shows cost?

Broadcasters can choose to set the price of a Group Show ticket at any price they deem fit.

What if I buy a ticket but the token goal isn’t reached?

Broadcasters may choose to either start the show for the viewers who did buy tickets or cancel the show if the token goal is not reached within the time limit.

Ticket holders are immediately refunded if a show is cancelled.

How long are Group Shows?

Broadcasters can choose to set the length of their show at any time duration they prefer. The length of a Group Show can be extended at any time, but cannot be shortened.

Viewers are refunded if a performer ends their show before the set time.

What if performers leave before the show is over?

Viewers are refunded if a broadcaster leaves their show and does not return to complete it within 5 minutes.

What if performers get disconnected?

If a broadcaster is disconnected during a Group Show, they will be able to reconnect to continue the show 3 times before the show is cancelled and viewers are refunded.

What happens if I leave a Group Show?

You may rejoin a Group Show at any time while it is in progress after buying a ticket. You’re free to return after checking out other rooms or getting disconnected.

Remember that the Group Show continues while you’re gone. Don’t miss out!

Do the tips I send during a normal show count toward a Group Show ticket?

Yes. Once a broadcaster sets a ticket price for a Group Show, any tips you send count toward the cost of the ticket. You will automatically get a ticket to the show if you send tips equal to the set ticket price.

However, any tips you may have sent before the broadcaster began selling tickets to a Group Show do not count toward the ticket price.

Note: The contest no longer uses the previous category system (male, female, transgender, etc.). Competition is now unified across all performers. Winners receive a trophy icon on their directory thumbnail instead of gold and silver star badges.

Cam4 gifts

Cam4 Gifts are virtual presents that can be purchased by members and sent to broadcasters as a more fun and personal alternative to tipping. Each gift has an attached token value that is added to your token balance when you receive a gift – receiving a cute Message in a Bottle is the same as receiving a 100-token tip, for example:

Your gifts are displayed within a virtual Gift Showcase located on your Cam4 profile page. Here, members can view all your gifts – maybe to see the gifts they have sent you on display, or to see how big of a gift they’ll need to send you to stand out!

Members can choose gifts that suit their favorite broadcasters from the wide selection available in the Cam4 Gift Marketplace, making tipping feel more personal and intimate. When sending a Cam4 gift, you have the option to send it anonymously or include your Cam4 name.

To send a Cam4 gift, go to the profile page of the performer you wish to give a gift.  Scroll to their Gifts Showcase area and click the circular plus icon. This will display the Cam4 Marketplace, from which you can choose the gift you’d like to send. You’ll be able to choose from a large variety of Cam4 gifts, all sortable by category, theme, or price.

Gold members are given a free exclusive Star gift each month which can be sent to a favorite broadcaster. These star gifts are simply nice gestures and have no token value.
